This month’s recognition is bittersweet. We wish Ann-Marie Barry a fond farewell as she ventures into a new role with a multinational biopharmaceutical company; we appreciate how much of a difference she has made for ABE during her time with us. Her open mind, heart, and humor created instant friendships and connections when she joined our international lab technician meeting in California a mere 2 weeks into her job! As the technical support specialist for ABE Ireland, Ann-Marie has been integral in helping design different support options for a newly expanded distribution region. Her willingness to jump in and try a different model for moving kits has proved to be an informative and practical pilot for other sites managing tight kit dissemination schedules. We will miss her positivity, willingness to ask questions, and collaborative spirit in the days to come, but are thrilled to see her continuing to forge a successful career path in the biosciences. Ann-Marie will be sorely missed, but we hope she will remain connected with the ABE program in the days and years to come!
